Vintage Anniversary Card

I made this card for my in-laws anniversary coming up in about a week. I think she will like the vintage feel to it.

Challenges:
Bitten By The Bug - Peggy Loves Vintage (the image is from her...isn't it sooooooo cute??) I just love it!!!
Pollycraft Challenge#24 - Black and white and one other color (I sponged the sepia color on the card to give it an extra vintage feel)
Just Buggin Challenge#4 - Use a blackout feature from any of your Cricut carts (the 4 corner flourishes are from the Storybook cart)...how bout that..4flourishes for challenge #4!!!
C.R.A.F.T Challenge#18 - No backing paper
Cupcake Craft Challenge#58 - distressing (I would call the sepia part distressed)

Thanks for stopping by and having a looksy!

FINALLY a card!!!

It has been a week since my last card and I was itching to make one so bad so here is what I made today. It is for someone but I won't mention any names because she reads this blog! Maybe once she gets it she will post on her blog....but if not I won't be offended...promise! I used a CTMH stamp I received in my blog candy from
Jenn over at Craft Royalty Corner...first time I have been able to use it and isn't it darling? I love it! I distressed the scalloped edges with my ink...thought it turned out neat...I tried to put deeper marks/dots to make it stick out a bit instead of all the same around the edge. Paper was from my stash and I made the flowers with my cricut and dabbed with black ink on a sponge applicator. Did some faux stitching around the outside. The one thing I wanted to add was some sparkle to the dots on the dress but somehow misplaced that part of my stash....guess that means I should tidy up the room a bit huh? I mean I looked everywhere I could think of but it is still missing! So maybe that was a sign that the card was fine just the way it was!

Challenges:
Get Sketchy#7 - Sketch plus distressing
Simon Says- Stitching
Stamp Something- Favorite layout or sketch (fav layout so far and I just found it!) So simple and clean looking!
Cute Card Thursday#79 - Use the colors black and yellow
Polka Doodles- DIY flower

Change to blog

Just a quick note to tell you that I have turned the word verification off but have turned on comment moderation. I think this will be easier for me to make sure I don't miss any comments because I do read all of them! Plus you don't have to type in all that verification garbage which I understand the point but I can't say I'm completely fond of especially when I mix some of the letters up...bad eyes I guess!

How to add a blinkie??

I was wondering if anyone knew how to add a blinkie or anything else to the right side of my blog??
For now I am going to add it here.

Thanks!

Winner!

I am so excited to announce all my winnings!! First off I won the above candy of assorted stamped images over at Ellephantastic Cards and Crafts!
Helen chose my elephant drawing that I posted on Wednesday the 16th as the winner! Maybe I should start drawing on my head from now on?? LOL!

My second winning is a RAK from Deanne over at Am I A Scrap Addict? This was a few weeks ago but we live a good bit apart so I'm guessing shipping will take longer. I don't know what I'm getting so I am anxiously waiting my post to arrive!

My third winning is blog candy from Katie. Her blog is here. It was from the Operation Nice Blog Hop that I participated in and it sure was fun! My first blog hop ever to follow!
There were two prizes and I think I won candy #2 but just in case I won't post a picture...I will wait til that arrives which I think should also be here anyday now! I think my postman thinks I'm stalking the place...LOL! I can't help it though I love getting goodies in the mail!! Even if it is just a card!! Oh and my husband has an Aunt who sends me a card for EVERYTHING and it just makes me smile everytime I get one! :)

I would of posted a card today that I actually had time to make BUT I did something really really stupid! I FORGOT to take a picture before I mailed it out! LOL! What a goofball! Sooooooo, I will tell you a little about it. I used my brayer for the first time with the kaleido pigment color ink pad. I used the blue, red, orange and yellow. Made this my background. Then I stamped a tree line from SU lovely as a tree. Then under the tree line I sponged some green and black for textured grass. This was for a gentleman that helped us do a ton of lumber work on our new property so I thought the trees were quite appropriate!

One last note and then I promise I will stop rambling...HAHA! I want to thank all my new followers for joining and those that have been following and continue to do so and also everyone that has left me a comment whether they are good, bad or indifferent I love hearing from you all! Luckily I'm receiving all good comments so that is great! :)

Now hopefully I can remember to take a picture of my next project so stay tuned!
